Week 9 – Central Wyoming to La Crosse

On the home stretch, we play road tag with the Sturgis motorcycle rally while visiting Jewel Cave National Monument, the Crazy Horse monument, Pine Ridge and Wounded Knee, and the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD.

Day 57 - Riverton -> Upton WY
Wyoming's Wind River Canyon and Big Horn River valley, and trying to find a place to sleep while the Sturgis motorcycle rally is happening nearby.
Day 58 - Upton WY -> Chadron NE
We go underground at Jewel Cave National Monument, and check on the progress of the Crazy Horse monument.
Day 59 - Chadron NE -> Chamberlain SD
A visit to Pine Ridge and Wounded Knee before sprinting across South Dakota.
Day 60 - Chamberlain SD -> La Crosse WI
The home stretch is a dash across the plains with a kitsch stop at the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD.
